Alex Taylor is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Northern Trust, a leading global financial services company. In this role, she oversees Human Resources, Workplace Services, and Global Physical Security, aligning talent-related strategies to support over 23,000 employees across more than 20 countries. Appointed in October 2022, Alex has led the development of an inclusive and competitive talent strategy focused on performance, employee engagement, and a world-class workplace experience.

With over 20 years of global human resources experience, Alex is recognized for her leadership in HR strategy, organizational design, employee relations, DEI, recruitment, and compensation. Before joining Northern Trust, she spent nearly two decades at Bank of America, where she held multiple leadership positions, including Head of HR for corporate, institutional, and wealth management divisions. She also led teams responsible for regulatory relations, conduct, and corporate culture.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Beyond her corporate role, she serves as a Trustee for Rush University Medical Center, contributing to the Human Capital and Compensation Committee and the Education & Workforce Development Advisory Council.

A champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Alex is the Executive Sponsor of Northern Trust’s Black Business Resource Council and a member of The Chicago Network. She also previously served on the board of the Toigo Foundation, supporting the advancement of diverse talent in finance and business.
